We believe in trust and transparency. Unlike other providers, we publish our highly competitive prices right here so you know you're getting the best deal in the industry.
Most of our clients prefer sharing the risk and reward with GrantTree via a success fee, with an up-front, refundable setup fee, but we also offer a fixed-fee service (see lower).
The success fee percentage is based on a simple idea: the longer we work together, the easier it gets on both sides. Our "rolling" plan reflects that:

Most people prefer to sign up for several years at once and reduce the price. For example, a 5-claim-year ('medium') service plan means that you go straight to 20%:

This is what the different options look like, in a table:
| Rolling | Short | Medium | Long | |
| Period | None | 3 Claim Years | 5 Claim Years | 10 Claim Years |
| Success Fee (yrs 1-2) | 30% | 25% | 20% | 15% |
| (year 3) | 25% | 25% | 20% | 15% |
| (years 4-5) | 20% | 20% | 20% | 15% |
| (years 6-10) | 15% | 15% | 15% | 15% |

Our fees are already the lowest in the industry, but if you want to get the price even lower, all the way down to free, give us a call and we'll let you know how this can be done!
We can also prepare tax credits for a fixed fee, paid upfront, based on a daily rate of £1,000/day, with a minimum of 10 days spent per claim.
Our grant pricing is segmented by grant type and by service level, with 3 primary service levels:
Full writing service: we fully write the application on your behalf.
Advisory service: we provide ample advice and materials (including a checklist, a manual, a template, 2-hour consultation, and 3 rounds of reviewing) to help you write the application.
Ultra-light service: we provide materials (including a checklist, a manual, a template) and one pre-assessment to help you write the application.
In all three cases, we provide a pre-assessment as part of the package. This means we get an external, qualified person to review the application as an assessor would, which can help greatly strengthen the application.
We only take clients on for either service if we believe that they have a strong chance of winning a grant. However, it must be emphasised that no grant-writing service can guarantee a win. Please be sure to read about Match funding before deciding what amount to apply for.
Proof of Market is most appropriate for early stage, bootstrapped startups looking to spend about £40k.

Proof of Concept is suitable for projects up to £150k, £100k of which will be match funded by the TSB. The company must already have done a fair bit of preparation, market research, and even some technical research before this grant can be successfully undertaken.

Development of Prototype is appropriate when a highly complex technology has been developed, and further development is needed to bring the product to market. The total amount of money that can be obtained is £250k, but most projects will aim somewhere below that, since, with 45% match funding, a £0.5m+ project commitment would be required to request the full grant amount.

Although many vendors are trying to make money by selling SEIS registration as an exclusive service, we believe that SEIS is the kind of thing that entrepreneurs in the startup space should be doing themselves. As a result, we have decided to make our internal SEIS guide available for free. Just send an email to team@granttree.co.uk enquiring after the SEIS manual, including your contact details, and after a quick phone call to get to know you, we'll send you the manual free of charge!
We are engaged in discussions with some clients who are looking to get on the patent box ladder early. Is this of interest to you? If so, get in touch!.
Building on our extensive experience, we are able to offer training workshops where we teach what we know to a group of people. The maximum number of attendees for a workshop is 20, and the cost depends on the time booked. The following presentations are available, with rough lengths:
A general overview of government funding topics covering R&D Tax Credits, TSB Grants, SEIS, Patent Box and other schemes.
An in-depth workshop about how and when to file R&D Tax Credits and pitfalls to avoid.
Extensive advice about every aspect of Smart Grants, including tips for each section of the application.
In London, the pricing for these workshops is:
| 1 hour | 2 hours | Half-day | Full day |
| £200 | £300 | £500 | £1,000 |
Outside of London, because of the journey times, we only do half-days minimum. Please note that we only provide workshops in group settings.
