After three successful cohorts, BBC Worldwide Labs opens its gates for another year of exciting digital innovation. Previous years have seen CrowdEmotion and Seenit emerge – the former developing better ways to understand the audience’s emotional reaction to films and series using facial coding web cams, the latter helping brands and organisations to create video with their audiences.
Applications are open until the 10th of May looking for 6 emerging companies.
Emerge Education is a 3-month London based accelerator programme for startups working on improving education worldwide. The most important part of the program is the sector specific mentor group helping the companies Beta-test their prototypes, accelerate customer acquisition and lend a hand in business development. The program ensures participants connect to investors through regular office hours, demo events, and investor lunches and supports the founders with a £15,000 living stipend.

Last days to apply for Bethnal Green Ventures! They are for ambitious, early-stage startups with ideas for using technology to address some of the toughest social and environmental challenges. Health and wellbeing, education, employment and sustainability are key areas BGV is looking to work with. The next BGV programme will run from July to September 2015 and successful teams will get £15,000 investment, coworking space, intensive mentoring and business support.
Applications are open until the 20th of April, with interview rounds happening on 13th, 14th and 15th of May.
