About This Competition
The Faraday Battery Challenge is designed to accelerate innovative battery technology projects by providing grants of up to £1.75 million.
This is the sixth round of the competition, which closes on 12 July 2023 at 11 am.
To qualify for this competition, you must be:
- A UK-registered organisation
- Working with at least one SME, or be one yourself
- Developing a game-changing battery technology
- Capable of delivering a 3 to 15-month project
- Able to start your project by 1 November 2023
The competition is split into two strands: Feasibility Studies and Collaborative R&D or ‘CR&D’.
The Feasibility Studies strand offers up to £525,000 for battery technology studies.
The CR&D strand offers up to £1.75 million for collaborative projects.
