AKA “Pow!” GrantTree founder, public speaker, über-networker. Her superpower: the ability to turn anything into a dirty joke. She is also an A-Speaker (check her profile on the A-Speaker website here).
As a former mathlete with a Masters in Real Estate Development, Amy has never shied away from numbers. She has extensive experience and interest in the tech industry, and runs her own “side hustle” research project in her free time, a Horizon 2020 funded project. Amy joined GrantTree in March 2017, and has been enjoying sinking her teeth into processing claims for our amazing clients! Amy’s other passions include reading, travelling, and anything related to musicals.
Mica, mainly referred to as Meesh, began working GrantTree after 7 years creating better work environments and attracting top talent for creative and digital companies. When she’s not feeding her popcorn addiction she’s helping GrantTree bring in new team members who can help our vision of bringing the future closer.
Nicky’s background is in finance management across a variety of industries including shipping, FMCG, recruitment and hospitality. She’s also nearing the end of her CIMA struggle to be an accredited finance nerd, so she can command even the toughest of numbers at her fingertips.
Daisy studied Philosophy at Sussex and has been filing R&D tax credit claims since January 2015 when she joined GrantTree after working in client facing roles in the legal services sector. She’s a perfectionist when it comes to financial calculations and always gets a thrill from ringing our ‘filed a tax credits claim’ bell. Yes, we do have a ‘filed a tax credits claim’ bell … and we love it.
After spending nearly six years working in Investment Banking, Emma decided to shake up her client base by moving over to GrantTree and delving into the world of start-ups and growing businesses. She has a first class Economics degree from Bath University and is a yoga and travel enthusiast.
Ciara is a Physics grad from Bristol University and spent 4 years working in Engineering in both the UK and Malaysia! After leaving to persue an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship she spent 3 months in Kenya supporting micro-entrepreneurs launch and develop new ventures. Now she very happily supports science and tech companies based in the UK gain government funding for innovative research.
Alessandro (you can call him Al) has been in the digital and marketing industries since 1999 when he started working in a web agency. Since then, he went through marketing, advertising, a fashion company, he survived the digital revolution, moved to London and started rocking bow ties like there’s no tomorrow.
Will joined us after a graduate scheme and career in professional services. Having worked for some of the biggest companies in the world, he decided to see what life is like on the other end of the scale. Safe to say that he's loving it, and now oversees our account management function.
With a background in electrical installation engineering and a penchant for creative writing, Martin decided to study journalism and began writing about technology, often at the intersection with business. He eventually found his way to GrantTree’s technical writing team where he now oversees the technical side of our R&D Tax Credits claims.
Cat studied Media Production in Dublin City University before joining GrantTree running all things Treehouse (GrantTree’s co-working space). Cat looks after office maintenance and facilities, keeps us in supplies and organises events and entertainment. Without Cat we would be a hungry, cold and bored workforce.
Will has an MSc in Environmental Economics and an MBA. Prior to GrantTree he worked on Agri-Tech projects in a sub-Saharan African context and also a marine infrastructure project in the Southwest of England. He’s super enthusiastic about all things tech, in the grant/tax credit space or to do with surfing. Feel free to drop him a line to discuss any of the above
Chris’ passion for tech saw him go straight from a marketing, advertising and PR degree to the world of technology. Before life at GrantTree, Chris has worked client side, with mobile technology start-ups (including his own), and agency-side with global brands looking to innovate.
Kweku is GrantTree’s uber-whizz Partnership Manager. He has previous experience in startups, managing commercial partnerships and investor communities… with a few stories to go with it! If you’re doing interesting things in the startup space, he’s your guy. Roof-terrace-dwelling crumpet-enthusiast.
Rowan has a solid financial background even before joining GrantTree’s ranks. He spent 7 years trading in the City, has a Computer Science degree from Trinity College Dublin and is the dynamic driving force towards spearheading new and innovative products for GrantTree – watch this space!
After completing a degree in Financial Economics, Joe has worked in the finance sector and most recently for a construction startup based in the Middle East, before journeying back over to the UK and touching down in GrantTree, where he has been bulldozing his way through R&D Tax Credit claims.
