Earlier this month, we had the privilege of filing our 1000th claim here at GrantTree and we are over the moon about it. Like the majority of startups, we were borne out of an idea back in 2010 and since then we have grown from strength to strength; we are now a team of 28, the owners of a fantastic new shared office building called Treehouse, which currently harbours Crowdcube, Solarcentury and TabMo and we have a kick-ass Open Culture to boot!

To have filed 1000 claims and raised over £30m in government funding for innovative UK companies is a feat that was unimaginable 6 years ago. At GrantTree, we want to give a huge shout out to all the fantastic companies – and the people who are part of them – who we have worked with. You are the reason we come into work in the morning and the best part of our jobs is seeing what incredible projects can be achieved through R&D Tax Credits and Grants, so congratulations and thank you.

Anyway, enough about us – time to reveal which client was our 1000th claimant…drum roll please…

Our 1000th claimant was Small Pharma (cue party poppers and confetti)! Small Pharma is a company developing niche pharmaceuticals which are overlooked by big pharma, with an exciting lead project in treating mental health.
